I am a writer, editor, web producer and new media lead creative who has spent the bulk of my two-decade career in NYC, before returning to Sacramento and now Oakland.
From Windplayer Magazine to the Wall Street Journal to the Trust for Public Land, if the project has words, images and/or audio plus a distribution channel I can produce it. My portfolio includes music journalism, business reporting, technical writing, film scripts, video treatments, mission statements, brand identities, e-newsletters, online green buying guides, small business resource packages and now this blog.
What keeps me going? I’m fascinated by what makes people tick, the keys to why things work and the polarizing intersections in life: art and commerce, work and play and, especially, current environmental issues and how they impact the bottom line.
Maybe it was all that recycling my parents urged me to do back in the day in El Sobrante; my mom’s motive (less garbage); my dad’s motive (more money), either way thinking in an “ecocentric” fashion seems to have always been a core goal.
